Scottish Biometrics Commissioner Bill as amended at Stage 2 - Delegated Powers
The Committee agreed that it was content with the revisions to the power in Section 9 which supplements the procedure that applies in relation to bringing the code into effect.
The Committee also agreed that it was content with the new power in Section 23A to change or clarify the meaning of biometric data.

We need to tread with a degree of caution on that. It must be a code of practice and no more. It should be about enabling farmers and crofters to take up practices that will suit the code of practice and the outcomes that we are trying to get to, rather than being overly prescriptive.
