ScotRail or Scottish Ministers) can serve a formal notice stating their intention to not continue the contract beyond the 7th anniversary of the contract (31 March 2022). Under the terms of the Franchise Agreement, there is no period of notice stated in relation to any potential bidders for a future franchise.
I can confirm that payments under the 2008 Single Farm Payment Scheme will start to arrive in bank accounts from 1 December. This means that we will have paid 13,800 producers a total of £223 million from the first date possible.

To ask the Scottish Executive, in light of the contents of the letter from HBOS to Highland Council dated 23 October 2007 and copied to the First Minister in which it was stated that without the relevant planning consents the bank would have “no option but to take action to mitigate its financial position.... likely...
I assume that members have fixed their holidays. Suggested dates are 28 and 29 August, which will be just before we come back, so I anticipate that most members will be available at that time.
This means they have to regularly provide certain information to the police, for example, all names used by them, their address, date of birth, National Insurance number and passport details.
