This increase reversed four years of approximate sales value declines and was largely due to the increase in the wholesale price of oil across this period, complimented by small increases in production. In Higher Education, the Scottish Government has implemented the recommendation of the Commission on Widening Access for a full non-repayable bursary for care-experienced students from 2017-18 onwards, with over 500 students awarded the bursary to date.
