Rona Mackay MSP substituted for Stuart McMillan MSP. the Delegated Powers and Law Reform Committee ("the Committee") considered the delegated powers contained in the Land Reform (Scotland) Bill ("the Bill") at Stage 1.
However, as Part 2 of the Bill has been removed (as a consequence of Members agreeing to remove sections 2-4 of the Bill at Stage 2), the result has been that this provision has been inserted into Part 1 of the Bill.
All that is relevant to the forthcoming children’s services bill. The committee should ensure that due note is taken of the directive during that bill’s progress through Parliament.

The next release of cancer incidence projections are due to be published this year (2020) by Public Health Scotland. The Scottish Government is developing a Cancer Recovery Plan to be published this Autumn.

The Scottish Government fully recognises the value of nightclubs to Scotland’s night time economy, and acknowledges that their exclusion from the phase three route map update announcement will have been disappointing for the sector.
Employment rights which are enforced by the state
As noted earlier, certain employment rights are enforced by government departments and other public bodies on behalf of the state.
That allows a person to take up a role knowing that their appointment has been fully scrutinised, so that the people of Scotland can have absolute confidence that that person is the right person for the job.
