Visitor Levy (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill - Summary
The Financial Memorandum assumes the changes laid out in the Bill will take place before the first visitor levy scheme (Edinburgh's) goes live in July 2026.
Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Stirling and West Dunbartonshire councils have all consulted on visitor levy schemes in their areas and have subsequently announced plans to introduce schemes.
