The UK Government has reiterated this commitment in a letter of 19 March 2020 that confirms that “the UK Government will consult the Scottish Government and other devolved administrations before extending the sunset for the power in clause 2 (i.e. before extending the period during which clause 2 powers can be used under the Bill).”
