FSS has invested in training and has a bank of trained mental health first aiders who are available to support staff. FSS also offers access to an Employee Assistance Service (EAS) which offers 24-hour helpline and counselling support including, emotional, financial and relationship support.

I am now focusing my attention on delivering the programme for government and the partnership agreement, to ensure that arrangements are in place that will give us confidence that the programme can be delivered and will help us to achieve the ambitions that are set out in the NPF.

In addition, in 2022 the Social Security Programme continues to work to extend Scottish Child Payment to under 16s and to work on its other key priorities, including Low Income Winter Heating Assistance, Scottish Carer’s Assistance, Pension Age Winter Heating Assistance, as well as working to develop additional supporting infrastructure to deliver these further benefits.
