Amendment 79 in the name of Stephen Kerr MSP amends section 12E(1) of the 2005 Act (to be inserted by section 4 of the Bill) to add "any training provider involved in the delivery of the apprenticeship" to the parties involved in apprenticeship agreements.

Executive Summary
The Restraint and Seclusion in Schools (Scotland) Bill ("the Bill") is a Member's Bill and was introduced by Daniel Johnson MSP on 17 March 2025. The Bill aims to improve the regulation and monitoring of the use of restraint and seclusion in Scottish schools.The Bill's provisions would apply to all pupils.
The Committee further recognises that having a description of framework legislation will be helpful as a reference point to aid MSPs, government, officials and stakeholders in instances where a framework approach is being followed.
