Both Counselling Services Glasgow and the Law Society of Scotland suggested that legal aid should be available without financial or other eligibility criteria for cases related to domestic abuse.SPICe analysis of the call for views
When asked about this, the Law Society of Scotland said examples already exist in criminal legal assistance of automatic entitlement, and that a similar model could be applied to the tests for civil legal assistance in domestic abuse cases.The Social Justice and Social Security Committee.
