Are commissioners any more effective in those spaces than MSPs or third sector organisations? Are people more likely to do something if a commissioner has said it than if they hear about it from the third sector or from MSPs?
Those can be spent only once, and the bus provision is a recurring cost to the council. MSPs have rightly criticised the cuts to the Scottish Government budget over the years, but the same MSPs seem to be strangely silent when those cuts are multiplied and then handed on to councils.
The bill has widespread support across Scotland, and 51 MSPs from every party in this Parliament signed the final proposal that helped the bill to get to this stage.
These may include for example current, past and prospective employees, MSPs and their staff, clients and customers, expert witnesses and advisers and others with whom it communicates.
