The Committee issued a joint call for written views with the Social Justice and Social Security Committee with responses being received from 317 individuals and organisations. These responses are available online and a summary report is available on the Bill webpage.
Publication of accounts
OSCR said these provisions are needed because, now that it is possible to “put all of a charity’s accounts online fairly easily”, all opportunities to improve transparency and increase public confidence in the sector should be taken.
In the run-up to the 2017 general election, an issue with the verification process for registering to vote online meant that some trans people had to register in person in order to vote in their new name.
They gave an example from the previous strategy of an aim for at least 90% of GP practices to offer online booking of appointments and repeat prescription ordering by 2017.
The written submission from one individual, Peter Symon, noted differences between the land plans and the SEPA online flood risk mapping, including that SEPA's mapping does not show the Balgowan housing estate area as being at risk from flooding.
Our provision is diverse, from giving students the ability to handle their student record online, through an innovative learners guide, which provides information, advice and guidance for students online, to courses that are taught wholly online.
