I can think of a couple of petitions that have been open for more than five years where some of what underpins them may no longer be current.Before any petition comes before the committee, we receive the Scottish Government’s initial review.
His entry in the register of interests, which was last updated in May this year, quite clearly states: “I am a member of the National Farmers Union Scotland.”
I have heard a senior Government person in London say, “We may have to give in on fish. We may have to give the EU access to our waters, or we will not get anything for the City of London.”
