Amendment 63 will clarify the timescale within which an authority must establish a catchment area for schools that are providing Gaelic-medium education provision at the time when section 20 comes into force. The timescale will run from the date on which section 20 comes into force.
In our view, they should not, but it should be a focus, and working with employers is a big part of that. Colleges need to remain up to date with the latest trends, technology and ways in which services are delivered.
I work closely with Councillor Paul Kelly of the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities, and we have agreed on work that is to be done across Scotland on giving people patient discharge dates, discharging before noon and weekend discharge.
