The Funding Alignment programme has worked across a cohort of major funding programmes related to net zero to achieve efficiencies in delivery and better connectivity across funds – ultimately with an objective of making funds easier to access and ensuring the outcomes delivered from funding programmes are more impactful.
The Committee wanted to hear from both funded and funding organisations and would like to understand what can be done now to make the funding process more efficient, so available funding can be used more effectively.

In her review of the prison, the Chief Inspector of Prisons concluded that NHS Forth Valley should develop a more strategic and systematic approach to prison healthcare, with accompanying workforce capacity review and improved adolescent and young people specific training.
I also want to mention the announcement in October of additional funding of £2 million for the social care workforce, which is being distributed through local areas.
The Audit Scotland report states: “Community justice funding makes up less than five per cent of overall justice funding, and there has been little change in recent years.”
