The Committee took formal evidence on the Bill at meetings on 5, 12 and 19 March 2024 and heard from representatives of COSLA, The Mineral Products Association Scotland (MPA Scotland), the Scottish Environmental Services Association (SESA), the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the Law Society of Scotland and Revenue Scotland, as well as from the Minister for Community Wealth and Public Finance2Scottish Parliament. Correspondence
Following the evidence session on 6 February 2024, the Committee wrote to the Rural Affairs and Islands Committee on 19 February 2024 in relation to issues raised during that meeting and during the Committee's consideration of the Bill.

In 2020-2021 and 2022-2023, and 2023-2024 the IPR was charged at 51.1p, in 2021-2022 this was 50.3p, and in 2024-2025 it will increase in line with inflation to 54.5p.
