I am sure that the credit union movement will rise to that challenge.Members will be aware that in some quarters there is an arrogant misconception that credit unions are the poor relation of the financial services industry and that their volunteer base, common bond and strictly not-for-profit structure detract from their ability to innovate and provide up-to-date services for their membership. That fallacy must always be challenged.I am glad that provision has been made under the credit union assistance fund to develop the marketing of the unique message of the credit unions.

An organisation that receives funding from several sources will therefore spend all its time working to submit reports on different dates. Is there any likelihood of an earlier return to Aberdeen than the current date? I understand the frustration that has arisen because Scottish Opera has not been able to tour main-scale opera to Aberdeen and Inverness in the past year or so and is in fact unlikely to be able to do so before 2007.
