SPCB Minutes 20 November 2025

The SPCB agreed that where Royal Mail fail to deliver Members’ parliamentary funded communications by 6 January, no action should be taken against the Member, provided they can supply satisfactory evidence that the delivery was booked for no later than 29 December 2025 and should have been delivered in the week prior to the cut off on the 6 December 2025. Date of next meeting 6. The next meeting of the SPCB was scheduled for 27 November 2025.

Wildlife Act commencement of part 2

In the aftermath of the wildfires which have affected many parts of the country and caused extensive damage to Scotland’s peatlands, I have taken the decision to move the commencement date from 1 January, when part 2 of the Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Act which relates to the muirburn licensing scheme would have come into effect.
