Supported by: Jeremy Balfour*, Bill Kidd*, Siobhian Brown*, Maggie Chapman*, Miles Briggs*, Bob Doris*, Paul Sweeney* *S6M-06909 Stephanie Callaghan: Two Millionth User of Mygovscot Myaccount—That the Parliament celebrates the establishment of the two millionth mygovscot myaccount, which is Scotland’s secure single sign-on service for online public services in Scotland; understands that the myaccount service, which was launched in May 2014 by the Improvement Service and its technology partner, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), is now used by 36% of the Scottish population to access public services online; further understands that all 32 local authorities use myaccount for at least one of their online services, from school payments and Council Tax to applications for the National Entitlement Card scheme, which provides access to free bus travel for young people, over 60s and disabled people; notes that myaccount is also used for other services valued by the Scottish public, including Young Scot Members, NHS Lothian, My Diabetes My Way and Social Security Scotland; understands that alongside an increase in account holders, myaccount authentication requests for the first 10 months of 2022 are nearly double the same period in 2021, demonstrating, it believes, that the service is being used frequently by account holders to access multiple services; understands that mygovscot now works with over 150 organisations to deliver their services online, with the sign-on service a key enabler as Scotland looks to thrive in an increasingly digital world, and wishes the mygovscot myaccount service continued, secure growth as Scotland looks to realise its digital ambitions.
