Children's Hearings System - Taking Stock of Recent Reforms - Statistics and trends

The number of referrals does not necessarily indicate the level of work for panels - only around a quarter of referrals in 2015/16 result in a Hearing being arranged (26% in 2015/16). There were over 35,000 Hearings held in 2015/16.
