When I do my little calculation—capable of being criticised, but based on principles that cannot be argued with—that comes to a tax take, for a new passenger on an average short visit, of something of the order of £150 to £200.

However, a delay in the application of the new electoral sanction would substantially weaken the enforcement of the new electoral sanction in Scotland.
The Scottish Government also committed to set out its "new overarching approach to environmental protection" through an Environment Strategy - which will be "a living and evolving strategy, able to adapt to new evidence as it emerges and refocus work to take advantage of new opportunities or address new challenges".
