Last autumn we linked in with Lewis Macdonald's visit to Beijing. The visit was planned to coincide with the major exhibition fairs in the city, which attract more than 40,000 students.
We could introduce videoconferencing or organise visits in the most economic way—for example, the cases of two or three prisoners could be discussed at the same time.
I am also visiting the Borders relatively soon. My aim on those visits has been to talk to people across Scotland and to do what the Executive has always said that it would do—listen to what people say and try to reflect their comments in what we do.
One of the strongest messages that we took from our visit to the Borders was that the children and young people of the Borders should not suffer because of the council's inefficiencies.
