The Scottish Government does not hold information on the number of people up to age 26 in rural areas who are either in further education or the first year of employment.
Working in partnership with the Scottish EDGE, a £2 million fund which supports and encourages entrepreneurial activity in Scotland. 62% of the winners in the latest round of the initiative were women.
The latest proposals that have come out of that participation will see the retention of an evening and weekend service at St Andrews community hospital, using a mixture of GPs and health professionals, with home visits to the most vulnerable and remote patients.
While there may be remedies under UKIMA, such as the introduction of an individual assessment process under section 26 scheme, these may have a number of practical challenges for the sector.
It is very difficult to forecast take-up of a new benefit under a new system, and that is why there is a difference between the forecasts from the Scottish Government and Scottish Fiscal Commission.
