Following the Chancellor’s Statement on 30 July, we expect clarity from the 30 October Autumn Budget on two-year spending plans to 2025-26, with three-year plans expected to be outlined in a UKG Spending Review in Spring 2025.

We incorrectly inputted UK Government spending plans for 2025-26 and because of the way we used the UK Government’s spending plans this also affected the estimate of the Block Grant up to 2029-30 when our projections began.
I do not know whether it is because Mr Simpson is new to the Parliament, but the Conservative members seem to forget that the Conservatives cut our capital budgets by 26 per cent in the previous session of the Parliament.
