MSPs can claim money back for "expenses" (costs). These must be costs from carrying out their duties in Parliament or helping their constituents.
The SPCB publishes the costs of MSP postage and stationery beyond what is provided to each MSP.
Each MSP can claim up to £5,500 each financial year for postage and stationery.
