Gifts

On 12 August 2024 I received travel and accommodation in connection with my participation in a recording of the Holyrood Sources podcast in Lerwick. Travel and accommodation was provided by Shortbread Media Ltd (the producer of the podcast of 16a Ballifeary Road, Inverness, Scotland, IV3 5PJ). The total cost of travel and accommodation was approximately £600.

On 30 September 2024 I was provided with a one year subscription to Energy Voice, a trade publication for the energy industry. The subscription was worth approximately £2000 and was provided by D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd. (a media company of Albert Square, Dundee, DD1 9QJ).

On 24 November 2024 I attended the Scotland v Australia match at Murrayfield Stadium as a guest of Vodafone Limited (of The Speechmark, 114 Great Suffolk Street, London, SE1 0BE). The value of the ticket and hospitality was £550.

Overseas visits

From 8 to 13 October 2017, I visited Taiwan as a guest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan). The trip was arranged by the Taipei Representative Office (Edinburgh office) in the UK, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan) (of 1 Melville Street, Edinburgh, EH3 7PE). I met a number of Government departments, as well as trade and cultural organisations. The total cost of the flight, hotel and ancillary expenses was £6400. These costs were entirely met by the Taiwanese Government as detailed above.

Interest in shares

I own 100% of the issued share capital of Stripe Retail Ltd., a company providing retail consulting and advisory services. These are ordinary shares with a market value of £280,000. The company is a privately owned limited company therefore market value is difficult to determine. The value given is the net asset value based on the latest accounts filed with Companies House.

I am an associate member of the Labour Women's Network.

Until 12 December 2024, I was a trustee and Vice Chair of the board of the ADHD Foundation, a charity registered in England and Wales, Registered Charity Number 1120898.

I am a member of the Federation of Small Businesses.

I am a member of the Cooperative Party.

I am a member of the Fabian Society.

I am a member of Labour movement for Europe.

I am a member of USDAW and Community trade unions.

I am currently a non-working director of Stripe Retail Ltd. but receive no remuneration or benefits in kind from this company. I am, as declared, a shareholder in this company and therefore receive dividends from it.

On 26 November 2024 I attended the Scottish Investment Conference. The value of the notional non-member ticket I received is £195.
