Supporting Scotland's Sleep Support Line

  • Submitted by: Daniel Johnson, Edinburgh Southern, Scottish Labour
  • Date lodged: Friday, 23 October 2026
  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S7M-01720

That the Parliament notes with concern the decision by Sleep Support to close in May 2027, which would result in the loss of specialist support for families across Scotland; notes that the Sleep Support Line is a vital service that has helped more than 5,000 families across Scotland since 2018; recognises the importance of ensuring that families can access specialist support when they need it; calls on the Scottish Government to identify and secure the funding necessary to enable the service to continue operating, and further calls on the Scottish Government to use its Budget announcement on 3 December 2026 as an opportunity to provide the funding needed to secure the future of the service and enable it to continue supporting families across Scotland.
