To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S6W-28126 by Jenni Minto on 26 June 2024, when it anticipates that the Review of NHS Hyperbaric Medicine Services in Scotland will conclude, and what steps it has taken to ensure that commercial divers have been included in the review.

Review of NHS Hyperbaric Medicine Services in Scotland is due to conclude in July 2025.

It is imperative adequate time is taken to review, due to the specialist nature of the facilities and services provided, to engage subject matter experts and consultants to participate in the review process. Assurance has also been provided that the Review Consultation Group includes contributions from a wide range of stakeholders including the British Hyperbaric Association, The British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) and Scottish Sub Aqua Club (ScotSAC).

Whilst the review is on-going all NHS patients whom would have been treated at Oban are transferred to Aberdeen. It should be noted that the transfer of patients to Aberdeen is normal pathway for the sickest patients as Aberdeen hosts the only Category 1 chamber in Scotland.

To ask the Scottish Government how many women have enrolled in the Family Nurse Partnership programme since its introduction, broken down by NHS board.

Over 13,100 families have benefited from the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) programme since it began in 2010 with, on average, over 81% of mothers offered the programme taking it up.

To ask the Scottish Government for what reason it reportedly removed funding for upskilling and reskilling Scotland's workforce in its Budget 2024-25; what assessment it has undertaken of any impact of this on (a) equalities and (b) the future economy, and whether it has any plans to reintroduce any such funding in the remainder of the current parliamentary session.

Despite facing the most challenging fiscal position since devolution, the 2024-25 Budget allocates around £2bn to both colleges and universities – supporting their delivery of high-quality education, training and research.

In this challenging fiscal environment, decisions have been made regarding specific individual funds, in the current and previous financial years, including the Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF) and the Scottish Funding Council’s Upskilling Fund. These decisions were not taken lightly but aimed to minimise the impact on frontline allocations for learning, teaching, and support for students.

Colleges and universities can continue to deliver short courses to meet employer and business needs including those developed using FWDF and Upskilling Fund resources. Across all funded delivery, we fully expect that they will continue to prioritise actions to address inequality. Despite the ongoing fiscal challenges, the Scottish Government remains committed to ensuring equalities underpin all our work.

In taking forward our long term plans for reform of post-school education, a priority will be the need for accessible, high quality learning which meets our economic, environmental and social needs and ambitions.

To ask the Scottish Government how many NHS boards currently deliver the Family Nurse Partnership programme.

The Family Nurse Partnership has been carefully scaled up with quality since its introduction in 2010 and Scotland became the first country in the world to deliver FNP at scale in 2018.
