Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of incidents of violence and disorder associated with the Celtic FC celebrations in Glasgow on 16 May 2026, what discussions it plans to have with the club regarding concerns about public safety, damage to the city and disruption to businesses, and what its position is on whether the club should contribute financially towards the policing and clean-up costs that have been met by the public purse when such incidents have occurred.
