Community Fund Awards for Anniesland Organisations

That the Parliament welcomes the significant investment of funding for charities working in Anniesland from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that DRC Generations has received £138,000 for staff costs to help with its continued work in mentoring young people; understands that this mentoring work focuses on prevention strategies to stop drug and alcohol misuse; further notes that Drumchapel Asian Forum received £9,900 to deliver 40 weekly multicultural meetings, to build connections within the Asian and wider communities; welcomes the funding of £10,000 to Halo Arts Education, which will be used to re-establish youth theatre activity in Drumchapel; appreciates the work that these organisations do across the constituency, and encourages them in their continued efforts to help communities flourish.
