That the Parliament commends The Corner Shop in Ralston, Paisley, for being voted Renfrewshire’s Independent Retailer of The Year at Scotland’s Business Awards; pays credit to Dionne Abbott who bought the shop just 18 months ago at the beginning of the pandemic; notes that Ralston Community Council Chairman, Allan Thompson, has described the shop as “integral in the lives of many residents”, especially during the COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, and hopes that the shop continues to thrive as an important hub for the community.
