That the Parliament congratulates the Denis Law Legacy Trust (DLLT) on being presented with the Principal’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Community by Professor George Boyne, who is the Principal of the University of Aberdeen; acknowledges that it was recognised for the important contribution that its Streetsport programme has made in providing free activities to children and young people in Aberdeen and reducing antisocial behaviour; acknowledges that its patron, Denis Law, and chair, Graham Thom, received the award at the university's graduation ceremony, at which The Princess Royal and Professor Janet Derbyshire were also awarded honorary degrees; recognises the popularity and success of the Streetsport initiative in Aberdeen, and commends all involved with the DLLT on this prestigious award.
