That the Parliament acknowledges that a new youth group, Taiwan Public Affairs and Social Engagement Association (TW-PASE), has been founded in Edinburgh and held its first meeting in October 2019; understands that TW-PASE was set up with the aims of raising awareness, encouraging social proactivity and fostering discussion regarding Taiwan’s public affairs through seminars, deliberative forums, reading clubs and cultural workshops; believes that young people are the hope for tomorrow and it is important for them to get actively involved in public affairs in order to sustain shared values and belief such as democracy, freedom of speech and human rights, and hopes that the group can continue working successfully and keep engaging with young people across Scotland.
