That the Parliament congratulates the ultramarathon runner William Sichel, who is from the island of Sanday in Orkney, on what is believed to be to first completion by a runner of the North Coast 500 route; notes that William completed the 500-mile route around the northern Highlands in an amazing time of 8 days 19 hours; understands that he arrived back in Inverness at the end of the run having not slept for 21 hours; thanks the many people living around the route who turned out to support and encourage William as he went past, as well as his indispensable support team, and wishes the inspirational 65-year-old cancer survivor the best of luck in his goal of setting 750 ultrarunning records in the coming years.
