That the Parliament commends the specialist knowledge and expertise of the staff at Sue Ryder Dee View Court in Aberdeen and their continued delivery of high-quality care for people with neurological conditions; understands that the Dee View Court facility is the only specialist neurological care centre in Scotland; recognises the devastating impact that such conditions can have on the lives of people and their families; welcomes the centre’s new virtual reality therapy suite, which has been added to a suite of existing therapies and, it understands, has shown promising results in reducing pain and stress for residents by transporting them to a variety of virtual environments, and wishes the centre well as it continues to pioneer this new technology and as its fundraising continues to meet the £3.9 million required for a planned extension to allow it to deliver its important support to more people across Scotland with neurological conditions.
