Jessica Leggatt, First UHI Graduate in Marine and Tourism

That the Parliament congratulates Jessica Leggatt on being the first person to complete the University of the Highlands and Islands' (UHI) Marine and Tourism degree, which she completed at the School of Adventure Studies at West Highland College UHI; commends the school on offering what it believes is this unique course in response to the growing opportunities in the marine and coastal tourism sector in Scotland and around the world; recognises that Jessica obtained a graduate internship at Active Highs, at which she assessed the business and drew on her studies to produce her report; applauds her initiative in starting Canù, which is a canoeing and kayaking business that offers coaching and tailor-made adventure days out, and wishes Jessica the best of luck with her ambition to expand this to offer sea kayaking, hillwalking, climbing, skiing and biking.
