That the Parliament congratulates the staff at the EGGER UK’s Barony Plant in Auchinleck, East Ayrshire, on it being awarded the ISO 14001:2015 standard in recognition of its ongoing environmental commitments as part of its manufacturing process; understands that the plant is one of the first in the UK to achieve this standard; notes that the chipboard manufacturer has invested in excess of £3 million in energy-efficient machinery in recent years as part of a long-standing drive to reduce the use of fossil fuels in its manufacturing process; acknowledges its use of recycled wood in the chipboard manufacturing process; notes that it also deploys wood that cannot be used in manufacturing as a fuel source for the plant; recognises what its sees as the benefit of investment in energy-efficient, environmentally-friendly manufacturing; commends EGGER UK on its commitment and efforts in this area, and wishes it continued success.
