The Kingdom Kangaroos

  • Submitted by: David Torrance, Kirkcaldy, Scottish National Party
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 22 August 2017
  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S5M-07208

That the Parliament congratulates the Australian rules football club from Kirkcaldy, the Kingdom Kangaroos, on reaching the Scottish Australian Rules League Grand Final, which was played at Linlithgow Rugby Club; understands that the team, which was founded in 2013 and is Fife’s only representative in the sport, reached its first final by defeating the Edinburgh Bloods in an entertaining semi by 15-points after "owning" the third quarter; believes that, despite losing to the Glasgow Giants in the final, the players should be commended on their performance throughout the  tournament, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
