That the Parliament congratulates NHS Golden Jubilee on becoming the largest single-site provider of cataract surgery in the UK, having carried out a record 13,581 procedures during 2025-26; recognises the significant contribution that the hospital, which is based in Clydebank, makes to reducing waiting times and improving access to planned care for patients across Scotland; notes that cataract activity at the hospital has increased by more than 70% since 2019-20 and has more than tripled over the last decade; acknowledges the positive impact that cataract surgery can have on patients' independence and quality of life, and wishes everyone at NHS Golden Jubilee continued success in providing high-quality care to patients from every NHS board area in Scotland.
