Celebrating the Spirit of the Cairngorms

That the Parliament welcomes the partnership between Tomintoul Distillery and the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team to create Spirit of the Cairngorms, a new short film celebrating the people, craftsmanship and landscapes that make the Cairngorms such a special part of Scotland; recognises the contribution of the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team and the dedication of its volunteers in keeping residents and visitors safe in the Cairngorms, often in challenging and demanding conditions; commends Tomintoul Distillery for showcasing the people, heritage and natural environment of the Cairngorms through its work and for strengthening connections with the local community; notes that an exclusive preview screening of Spirit of the Cairngorms will take place at Tomintoul House, Nethy Bridge, on 1 September 2026, alongside a whisky tasting and an opportunity to celebrate the partnership between the distillery and the mountain rescue team; celebrates the role that local businesses, community organisations and volunteers play in supporting the cultural identity, economy and international reputation of the Cairngorms; wishes Tomintoul Distillery and the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team every success with the film and their ongoing partnership, and recognises their shared commitment to celebrating and supporting the communities, people and landscapes of the Cairngorms.
