That the Parliament congratulates the Moray Disability Sports Hub initiative on its official launch at Moray Sports Centre in Elgin on 22 August 2026; recognises the initiative as a partnership between local sports clubs, voluntary and third sector organisations, Moray Council, the Health and Social Care Moray Partnership, Sportscotland, Scottish Disability Sport, and Grampian Disability Sport to create more inclusive opportunities for disabled people to participate in sport and physical activity; understands that the partnership has worked constructively over the past two years to secure funding for training, specialist sports equipment, and research into the lived experience of accessing sport and recreation in Moray; welcomes the Hub’s commitment to using sport as a way to provide equitable access to the physical and social benefits of participation, while celebrating the abilities and potential of disabled people; further welcomes the inclusive range of activities being promoted by the Hub, including boccia, indoor curling, table cricket, and wheelchair fencing; recognises the contribution of the many organisations involved in supporting the launch and inclusive sports across Moray, and wishes the Moray Disability Sports Hub every success as it continues to expand opportunities for disabled people to enjoy the benefits of sport.
