That the Parliament expresses concern regarding the proposed closure of Innovate Foods in Kirkcaldy; notes that the company, which is owned by German-based Frostkrone Food Group, has indicated that the consolidation of manufacturing operations at its processing centre in Abergavenny, south Wales, is a primary reason for the proposal; acknowledges the potential loss of 85 jobs and the impact that this could have on the local economy; recognises that, while opportunities for relocation have reportedly been offered to some staff, such arrangements would involve significant upheaval for those workers and their households; further recognises the uncertainty facing employees who may be made redundant, and expresses hope that the Frostkrone Food Group will carefully consider the impact of its proposal and engage meaningfully with employees, relevant stakeholders and local representatives throughout the consultation process.
