That the Parliament marks the release of The Odyssey, the new epic action-fantasy film written, directed and produced by Christopher Nolan; celebrates the use of the dramatic coastal landscapes of Moray and the north east of Scotland as filming locations depicting Ancient Greece; welcomes the launch of a new interactive online map enabling film fans to explore the locations used during production, including Culbin Sands and Culbin Forest in Moray; appreciates that members of the cast and crew were seen visiting local restaurants, shops and leisure facilities during filming, with many praising not only the area’s outstanding natural beauty but also the warm welcome and hospitality extended by local communities; recognises the opportunities that film tourism can bring to local communities and businesses, and hopes that the film will inspire audiences from around the world to visit and experience the region’s world-class landscapes for themselves.
