Mandy Hunter’s 30 Years of Service to the Linton Lane Centre

That the Parliament congratulates Mandy Hunter on reaching the remarkable milestone of 30 years of service at the Linton Lane Centre in Kirkcaldy; recognises her outstanding dedication, leadership and commitment to the people of Kirkcaldy and the wider community; understands that Mandy has played a central role in the development of the centre, supporting services and groups including the Kirkcaldy Foodbank, The Grey Panthers, Pete’s Man Chat, the Polish School, Stages Dance School, veterans’ organisations, carers’ groups, stroke support groups and numerous other community initiatives; acknowledges her leadership in helping the centre respond to local needs during times of challenge, including its role as a community support and crisis-response hub during the COVID-19 pandemic; recognises her unwavering commitment to preserving and strengthening the centre, which has become a lifeline for people of all ages; commends her wider contribution to civic and community life through her support for organisations and events, including the Kings Theatre and Kirkcaldy Strong; recognises the high regard in which she is held by colleagues, volunteers, service users and residents, and the positive impact that she has had on countless lives over three decades; thanks Mandy for her exceptional service, compassion and belief in the power of community, and wishes her every success as she celebrates 30 years of dedicated service to the Linton Lane Centre and the people of Kirkcaldy.
