That the Parliament congratulates Orkney business, Sheila Fleet Jewellery, on winning Store Design of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards in London on 8 July 2026; recognises that its new store on Hanover Street, Edinburgh, held off competition from large jewellery brands, including Pandora and Harrogate Jewellers, to win the title, with the judges stating that the store could easily assimilate in any major city worldwide; understands that the store’s design takes inspiration from Edinburgh’s geological features, including the volcanic rock on which Edinburgh Castle sits; celebrates the hard work of Sheila and everyone involved in the design of the Edinburgh store; wishes the company the very best in its future as it continues to expand across Scotland, and looks forward to seeing what the business is able to create at its new premises in Kirkwall, which are due for refurbishment over the coming months.
