That the Parliament celebrates The Big Green Market, which has been running since 2021 and has raised over £62,000 for community groups and charities; notes the hard work and organisation of volunteers who run the monthly market where donated preloved items are displayed and sold rather than going to landfill, helping the environment and shoppers pick up a bargain; acknowledges the dedication of the 96 volunteers who help to bring this together, dealing with over £2 million worth of items saved from landfill and 79.860kg of carbon; recognises that the market continues to grow and has now established a repair cafe where volunteers work together to restore items that have seen better days; understands that the cafe runs every month alongside the market thanks to funding received from The Corra Foundation and the Community Lottery Fund; wishes all the best to the hardworking volunteers, and congratulates them on the first five years of this remarkable community market.
