That the Parliament welcomes Royal Mail's World Class Letters campaign, which invites children and young people aged between 4 and 18 across Scotland to send letters of support to the Scotland squad competing at the 2026 FIFA World Cup; notes that the campaign comes as Scotland prepares to compete at a World Cup tournament finals for the first time in 28 years, rekindling excitement and national pride among supporters of all ages; recognises the value of letter writing in bringing people together, strengthening communities and encouraging young people to express themselves through the written word; understands that letters can be sent free of charge to the Scotland World Cup Squad via World Class Letters, Freepost Scotland; further understands that entries submitted between 18 June and 19 July 2026 will be entered into a prize draw, with winning entries securing £1,500 worth of sports kit for a nominated school or sports club; commends Royal Mail for promoting literacy, creativity and participation in sport through this initiative; encourages schools, youth organisations, sports clubs, parents and guardians to support young people in taking part, and wishes the Scotland squad every success in the 2026 World Cup.
