I am a Councillor for the City of Edinburgh Council (of City Chambers, High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1YJ). I spend in the region of 25 hours per week on this role. Until 21 May 2026, I received remuneration of between £35,001 and £40,000 per annum which included an allowance for the Convener role. I currently receive remuneration of between £25,001 and £30,000 per annum. The basic rate of the councillor salary is deducted from my MSP salary.
Until 8 May 2026, when I resigned following my election, I was a Regional Assistant to the Office of Lorna Slater MSP at the Scottish Parliament (of Edinburgh EH99 1SP). I spent 10 hours per week on this role and received remuneration of between £10,001 and £15,000 per annum.
