That the Parliament congratulates the Birsay Drama Group on achieving second place at the youth final of the Scottish Community Drama Association in Perth, and winning the Dolly Nicol Youth Trophy; recognises that its performance of the Spice Girls-inspired play, Wannabes, led the adjudicator to commend the groups fluidity and excellent musicality; congratulates Ava Moar, Orla Spence, Norah Flett, Alissa Omand and Aoife Spence on their passion for drama, which shone through during the performance, as well as the hard work and commitment that went in to reaching the final; pays tribute to Margaret Irvine, the founder of the group, who was recently awarded a BEM in recognition of her contribution to drama in her community, for the inspiration that she has provided over six decades, and wishes all involved with Birsay Drama Group the very best for the future.
