Scotland to Host Inaugural Global Agritourism Conference

That the Parliament recognises that Scotland is set to host the first Global Agritourism Conference from 23 to 25 June 2026 at the P&J Live in Aberdeen; notes that, in 2021, Scotland launched the National Agritourism Strategy 2030, which is aimed at sustainably developing the industry, capturing accurate sector data and drawing attention to the important role that agritourism plays in the country, particularly in rural communities; considers this to be an opportunity for Scotland to showcase its thriving agritourism industry on a global stage, including 888 farms, crofts and estates offering farm accommodation and retail, tourism activities and events; notes that over 500 delegates representing 55 countries are expected to be in attendance; understands that attendees will have the opportunity to tour farms in Aberdeenshire, Angus and Moray that are involved in agritourism during the pre- and post-conference learning programme; pays tribute to the many businesses, farms and organisers, as well as Scottish Agritourism, for their work to make this conference possible, and wishes them all the best for a successful inaugural event.
