That the Parliament congratulates Waid Academy in Anstruther on reaching the final four of the UK HRUC National Innovation Challenge 2026; notes that the Challenge is led by Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges (HRUC) in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Industrial Liaison Program; understands that this achievement makes it the only Scottish school to reach the national final in consecutive years; recognises the exceptional work of students, Anneliese Uringa and Arran Ogilive, whose project, Synthetic Tree, aims to remove atmospheric carbon dioxide and convert it into valuable carbon biproducts, and wishes Anneliese and Arran well in presenting their innovation at the national final on 25 June, with the prospect of earning a trip to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
